We aim for wines with minimum intervention based on a sensitive and intuitive winemaking process.  Our wines are not standardized: they are wines of clear vintage and sincere character.  Born with these features and with the help of innovation and our environmental concern, we would like to highlight our green contribution at Amansado.

Our “way of doing” reflects our conviction and commitment to reach a current sustainable development today, maintaining it and improving it in the future.

At AMANSADO, we carry out the following actions to create a relevant social and environmental impact in our productive activity.

Sustainable irrigation system in high altitude vineyards:

We are aware of the water emergency and how scarce the resource of water is.  We make relevant improvements in our irrigation system, optimizing its control and its geographical disposition obtaining a controlled irrigation per area and thus, avoiding water waste.

Respectful Harvest:

Due to the irregular conditions the hills where “La Heroica” is located, we made the decision to coexist with the flora. We have planted individual terraces in order to respect and keep a harmonious cohabitation of the native flora and the grapevines.

Teaching and Training:

Training has always been and will ever be our major asset. All our staff has been trained in relevant activities related to pruning, native spicies, plastic waste management, soil management, irrigation system and water resource management.

Biodiversity Protection and Development:

As the surroundings of our production area is xerophytic, our priority is the care and protection of all vegetable species, animals and insects.

Therefore, we develop a survey on the resources that could take advantage of and rethink in order to boost the native species by creating protection spaces with recycling material from our vineyards together with the use of the irrigation areas to create water through for the fauna and insects of the area.

Energy Management:

We reach a direct impact in the energy exploitation required thanks to the study, implementation and optimization of our pump irrigation system. We succeed in integrating the environment and reducing the energetic consumption in the best possible way by making changes in the system’s geographical disposition.
