At an altitude of almost 1000 masl, “La Heroica”, is named after the root of its name…A unique terrace vineyard located where nobody had tried before, the fight for having an insatiable dream…

We have the determination of moving forward with a clear direction, having certainty in the horizon we are looking for: producing in a sustainable way respecting natural and human resources. This is how this vineyard was born, being the first on its class.. Terraces which portray the natural incidents of the hill, stony and calcareous soils from the frontal and central Andes Range that would have never seen the light without the seismic characteristics of the area… Native vegetation of bushy, woody and aromatic type.

Water emerging from the Mendoza  River appear in this special place, where it was once renowned as a retreat and ceremonial area by its native people called “The Huarpes”…

Among all these characteristics, our grapevines grow while being intermingled with the native flora and fauna. Vertical trellis system vineyards that explore the calcareous, sandy soils, allowing us to play with the expressions of ours Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot as regards altitude, exposition and deepness of the soil. The white grapes, located in the East and South- East ladder, face the sun at dawn, making sure that the afternoon sun does
not affect its skin, making Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon blanc and Chenin show unique and diverse aromas…

Harvests -

The stony soil, the exposition of the steep slopes and the youth of this 5- year-old vineyard create early harvests, starting at the beggining of February for the white varieties, and exceptionally harvesting the red ones in March.

Feautures -

The great sunlight exposition and the constant winds of the area create very thick skin in our grapes. This implies a high potential for colors and aromas, which are expressed in our “Heroic Red Wines”. The coexistence with native plants has created a unique aromatic style in our local wines. The “garriga” expression, where wormwood, jarilla and thyme have connected to the typical fruit of the planted varieties, has consistently amazed on each tasting.
